We sell vintage, vintage-inspired, and modern, sought-after 14 karat gold charms. If a charm is listed as "Vintage," it is an older collectible that we have acquired over the years that lives in our "Vintage Vault".
Our unique vintage gold charms, hand-picked by our experts, range from Victorian to post-war eras, crafted in 9k-18k gold. We detail their origins online when known. See our complete collection in our New York showroom by appointment, or shop our Latest Arrivals collection.
Our 14k gold Charmco collection charms are proudly made in the USA, right here in our New York City studio. We're constantly designing and dropping new charms and striving to craft on-trend, sought-after styles. Many are inspired by our favorite vintage and antique charms but with a modern twist!
Charmco's collection includes over a thousand styles that are noted for their handmade movable elements, fine details, and sophistication. Collection charms are available in 14k yellow gold, and many by special order, in 14k white gold and 14k rose gold. While we keep a small stock of our most popular designs on hand, most new charms are made to order, specifically for you.
By mindfully curating our vintage vault and not over-producing new pieces, we aim to avoid excess and unnecessary inventory and only produce charms as they are ordered.
Curating vintage and producing made-to-order, direct-to-consumer new pieces are just a few ways to keep our environmental impact low and have a more eco-friendly approach to fine jewelry.
Yes, all charms from the Charmco collection are meticulously crafted in our New York studio using 14 karat yellow gold. Some items are available in 14 karat white and rose gold are also available on the product page dropdown under "Gold Type".
Our Vintage Vault primarily features 14 karat gold charms, though some pieces may be made from 9k, 10k, or 18k gold. Please refer to each vintage charm's description for specific details on its gold purity. All charms are thoroughly inspected for quality and authenticity before being added to the vault.
We do not offer any charms in vermiel, gold-plated, gold-filled, or sterling silver.

Jump rings are the gold loops that connect a charm to a chain or bracelet. When ordering your charms, you can indicate if you'd like us to leave the jump ring open, solder it closed, or attach it to a bracelet or necklace in your cart. To learn more about these options, click here.
Most of our charms come with an open gold loop (jump ring) which is used to attach them to a bracelet or necklace. We recommend this ring be closed professionally by soldering before wearing. Soldering is a process that bonds two pieces of metal together securing a charm to a chain or bracelet. This process can be done by a local jeweler or by Charmco prior to shipping. At checkout you will be asked to select one of the below options. Please note that soldering and attachments are a service offered by Charmco for $10 per charm and this charge is non-refundable.

I would like Charmco to solder the ring closed, this option works best for wearing on your own necklace or if you plan to slide on a bracelet or necklace.
For Bracelets: A single charm is typically soldered to the center of the bracelet. Multiple charms are arranged by a charm stylist for balance. If you have a preferred order, please note it in the "Order Notes" at checkout.
For Necklaces: Charms are either slid onto the chain or soldered in the center. If you’d like them positioned on specific links, please include instructions in the "Order Notes" at checkout.
Charm connectors and clasps are great for versatility. Charm clasps act as a replacement for the jump ring and open and snap shut so you can move it from chain to chain. Charm connectors are larger, singular clasps you can use to style and stack your charms. To learn more about these options, click here.
Yes, an engraved charm goes that extra mile. Whether it’s a monogram, name, birthday, or message you want to engrave, we have the charm for you. The charms in our "Engravable Charms" category are made with personalization in mind. You may add names, initials, birthdates or a longer thoughtful message.
Please refer to our Engraving Styles (viewable by clicking the “?” icon next to the "Select Engraving Style" drop-down) to see options for your custom engraving.
Please be mindful that charms are small and we may not be able to add your entire message. Refer to alternate images as a reference. Specific instructions can also be added in the order notes at checkout. We will contact you if we have any questions regarding your engraving order.
Please allow 2-3 extra business days for engraved charms.
We consider all engraved orders to be special orders and non-refundable.
All engraved charms are considered special orders. All picture charms (with your pet or child) are special orders. All 14k white gold charms and chains, as well as 14k rose gold charms and chains, are considered special orders.
Additionally, any order that you have contracted with us to make exclusively for you is considered a special order. Special orders can take an additional 7-10 business days or more during the busy holiday season.

No, all special orders are considered non-refundable.

Returns & Exchanges
We accept returns of unworn and undamaged jewelry within 14 days from the time of delivery. After this period, you will receive store credit for your return. We will not accept returns or exchanges after 30 days from the date of delivery.
Please note: we do not accept returns or exchanges of items marked as final sale, engraved orders, custom orders, white gold charms and chains or rose gold charms and chains.
All approved exchanges will incur a $15 shipping fee.
Email Us: To initiate a return, please email us at info@charmco.com with your order number to initiate the return process. We will respond as quickly as possible with an acknowledgement of your return.
Prepare Your Item: Please include the original packing slip or receipt as well as original packaging and gift box.
Ship Securely: Please send your return via a trackable and insured method (UPS, FedEx, etc.). Return shipping cost is the responsibility of the customer.

- Orders $1000+ have a 5% restocking fee
- Exchanges incur a $15 shipping fee.
- Any orders canceled after payment incur a 2.5% credit card processing fee.
Please allow 2-3 business days from the time we receive your package for a return credit to be processed. Process time may be longer during peak holiday seasons. Your refund will either be credited to the original purchaser's credit card or gift card, as applicable. Please note that we are not in control of when the reversed charge is credited to your account, please contact your bank for further information.
If your return qualifies for store credit (within 30 days from delivery), the store credit will be added to your online Charmco account. The credit will be added to your account and is valid for one year from the date it is issued. Store credit is valid from one year from the date of purchase.We only accept returns of unworn and unaltered jewelry. We reserve the right to refuse to credit any returned jewelry which is damaged or non refundable based on our store policy.
We understand that sometimes you may want to exchange an item for something else or someone may have bought you a charm for the second time! Email us at info@charmco.com to process your exchange.

For all returns or exchanges, customers are responsible for creating the label, properly insuring it, and sending it to us (using a trackable method such as UPS or FedEx) within 2-3 business days after emailing with our customer service team.

Sales tax is only charged for orders shipped within New York State. Sales tax will be automatically calculated in the shopping cart once you add your shipping address. If there are any questions regarding your order, we will contact you.
Yes. If your billing address is a PO Box, please enter this information as usual. However, UPS does not offer shipping to PO Boxes. Please provide an accurate street address so that we do not have undue delays in shipping your package.
Shipping & Delivery
We do our best to ship all orders quickly and with care:
- Vintage charms: within 2 business days
- Engraved/custom jewelry: 10-14 business days
- Made-to-order collection charms: 5–7 business days (+engraving/custom time)
- Custom-built charm bracelets and necklaces: assembled just for you; please allow extra time for assembly and engraving or personalization. Contact us to inquire about rush options
Your selected shipping method applies to transit time after production is complete.
UPS cannot guarantee delivery dates, so please track your order for the most up-to-date info. We are not responsible for UPS delays.
Expedited shipping helps speed transit but does not shorten production time.

Orders of $300+ in the continental U.S. ship free via UPS Ground and include full insurance. Delivery typically takes 1–5 business days. If you’d like your package signed for, let us know in the order notes (extra fee applies).
We also offer UPS Three Day Select, Second Day, or Next Day; rates are calculated at checkout. Standard delivery is Monday–Friday. Expedited shipping does not guarantee immediate dispatch.
Once shipped, you’ll receive a UPS tracking number. We are not responsible for UPS delays
If your package appears lost, please contact us ASAP so we can start a trace.
We ship to select countries outside the United States via UPS, with insurance included for the full retail value of every order. UPS Worldwide Saver is available, and UPS rates will be calculated at checkout.
Please note: Customers are responsible for all duties and taxes applied to the shipment.

Gift Orders
For all gift orders shipping to an address other than the billing address, we reserve the right to confirm the order details with you via telephone or email. Rest assured, all Charmco orders ship with a simple packing slip that does not feature any prices. If you are sending a gift, the packing slip acts as a gift receipt.
Yes, all Charmco orders arrive in our signature brown gift box and pouch, or gift box depending on your order. You may personalize a complimentary "Gift Note" at checkout that is included with your package.

At checkout, enter the unique code from your gift card email into the "Discount code or gift card" box and click Apply.
Care & Repair
Our handcrafted 14k collection charms are proudly made in the USA, and we stand behind their quality. Every item is carefully inspected before shipping, but if something is wrong upon receipt, we will repair or replace it.
- Within the first year: Free repair for collection jewelry if the issue is due to a manufacturing defect.
- After one year or for customer-handled damage: A repair fee will be provided after inspection.
For vintage charms, we inspect each piece before shipping. We will do our best to repair any issues within four weeks of receipt. After this period, we are not responsible for wear and tear that naturally affects older pieces.
Please note: We are not responsible for any work performed by third-party jewelers.
- Use a soft, old toothbrush with mild, detergent-free soap to gently clean your charms, reaching all nooks and crannies.
- Dry completely with a lint-free jewelry cloth—moisture can weaken clasps over time.
- Treat delicate charms (lockets, glass stones, pearls, or enamel) with extra care. Avoid swimming or strenuous activity to prevent loss or damage. Note that older enamel charms may lose some color over time.
- Store charms in a velvet-lined box or separate pouches/compartments to prevent scratching.
Only entrust repairs or cleaning to a reputable jeweler.

We can provide additional images via text or email, offer guidance on choosing gifts, and help with styling your Charmco charms so you can make your decisions with confidence. Yes, in-store shopping is done by appointment only, Monday–Friday, 11am–4pm. We are located in midtown Manhattan’s historic jewelry district on West 47th Street. To schedule an appointment, please email at info@charmco.com.
If you are not able to make it in to our Midtown Manhattan showroom, we are always happy to send pictures or videos of any charm or chain to make you feel more confident in your order.

No, after working with boutiques and department stores across the country for many years, we decided to sell our charms and chain exclusively through our own website. This has allowed us to keep our prices lower, extend the greatest possible selection, and provide outstanding customer service to our customers.
