Our Story

What began as a passion for antique jewelry, particularly vintage charms with their moving pieces and playful nature, evolved into a partnership for mother and daughter Leslie Slutsky and Lisa Feldkamp. When Leslie gifted a treasured charm bracelet to Lisa as a holiday gift, an idea for a bespoke charm business was born.

Lisa and Leslie embarked upon a jewelry adventure, educating themselves on the history and creation of charms. Charmco formally launched their "design your own charm bar" at Bergdorf Goodman in 2004, followed by a book collaboration, The Charm of Charms, in 2005. Through a feature on travel charms in Travel & LeisureCharmco reached clients around the world.

After selling in boutiques and department stores, Lisa and Leslie decided to bring Charmco exclusively online and sell direct to customers, offering better prices than were found in-store, and with the greatest possible selection. Charmco has amassed one of the largest vintage gold charms collections spanning every era. Many of these vintage 14k gold charms were created in the 1940s, 50s, and 60s, and are one-of-a-kind—if you miss it, you may never find it again. These classic era charms form the inspiration for many of the Charmco catalogue charms that reflect the same handcrafted quality and distinctive detail of the vintage styles. Charmco manufactures their line of solid 14k gold charms in New York City and sells online and by private appointment in their midtown Manhattan showroom.

Today, Charmco offers more than 1000 styles of gold charms for necklaces and bracelets in categories ranging from Love & Marriage to Travel & Sites to the popular Personalized & Engravable charms. Charmco charms are noted for their movable elements, fine details, and sophisticated style, offering charms that are vintage-inspired but with a thoroughly modem approach.

Charmco has developed a strong celebrity following with actresses Kate Hudson and Goldie Hawn, Debra Messing, Katherine Heigl, Kelly Ripa, and Mariah Carey. Charmco has also been featured on the pages of many fashion and lifestyle magazines including Vogue, InStyle, Elle, Glamour, Town & Country, and O Magazine.
