What is the Classic collection?

Charmco’s first and most-extensive collection of 14k gold solid charms.  You will find everything from charms with moveable elements to ones that can be customized with engraving. This collection offers hundreds of styles in every category from the iconic “Eiffel Tower” to the unconventional “Toilet” charm.

What is the mini collection?

An adorable collection of more than 60 mini charms, many set with a diamond for extra sparkle.  Mini charms are dainty and precious and suit women who love small collectables as well as our younger customer. They are ideal for collecting and make the perfect gift item.

What is the LUXE collection?

Bigger and bolder defines our most recent collection of premier charms. Luxe is for a women who enjoys larger, more embellished and show-stopping jewelry. Treasured and handmade collectables to last a lifetime.

What is the VINTAGE VAULT?

Charmco has amassed one of the largest vintage charm collections in the United States, literally thousands of charms spanning every era from Victorian to Edwardian to Retro. Many of these charms were created in 9k, 10k, 14k or 18k gold depending on provenance. Charms are lovingly collected from travels all over the world and are catalogued with care in our vintage library.  We encourage you to mix and match old with new, or add to your existing collection of vintage charms for a truly personal and unique approach. 

What is soldering? Do you recommend it?

Charmco strongly recommends soldering your charms onto your bracelet as well as soldering all rings on pendants closed. Jewelry is safest when it is permanently attached. Soldering is the process by which two metals are joined together and the rings that hold the charms are secured. We consider all soldered items to be a special order; please expect to add 1 - 3 business days to the shipment of your order as well as $8 for each charm soldered.

What can be engraved? What engraving styles do you offer?

We can engrave an initial, monogram, name or date for your personalized inscription. We offer 15 styles of engraving but depending on the charm, we offer you a selection of the appropriate choices for your engravable item. If you do not see an option to engrave a charm, we are most likely unable to offer engraving for that style. If you do not want an engravable charm to be engraved simply write "none" in the fields before selecting "no thanks!" on the drop down menu. We consider all engraved items to be a special order; please expect to add 3 - 5 business days to the shipment of your order as well as $15-$25 depending on the style of engraving.

How do I start my own charm bracelet?

Charm bracelets are traditionally built over time and charms are added for various rites of passage, important birthdays or special achievements. Today many people want to create a jam packed bracelet full of their chosen charms right away. There is no right or wrong but a few of our favorite guidelines; 

A single charm on a fabulous bracelet makes the best canvas for a growing charm bracelet. A custom calendar or engraved disc is a simple and classic start. 

If you are considering multiple charms as you start your bracelet, think in terms of odd numbers. To begin 1, 3 or 5 charms look best; after 5 charms, add at any time and in any number! 

Select the charm or charms you most love and leave the rest behind. Maybe even sleep on it. Charms are emotional and many times you will realize what is the "right" choice for you if you step away for a moment. 

If you are buying a gift and dont know the person well or are unsure of what to choose (with our catalogue it can be overwhelming!), a gift certificate is best. We work personally with each customer and offer great attention to find the exact right charm for you or your loved one.
